Description

This enlightening presentation will outline the State of Massachusetts initiative to improve infection control in NHs. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Governor of MA made additional funding available for 2 months to NHs to improve their infection control processes by supporting staff, personal protective equipment and testing. This session will walk attendees through an overview of the State’s response, including a 28-point infection control competency checklist, and the provision of additional support and services to providers. Collaboration of key stakeholders, including regulatory entities was paramount to the successful outcomes that will be reviewed during this session.

Objectives

1. Describe the benefits of a state-wide independent process to identify opportunities for improvement, mentoring facility staff and leadership and providing resources for quality and adherence
2. Understand the involvement of specific roles in evaluating facility adherence to designated infection prevention and control practice as well as additional support provided to improve overall outcomes.
3. Identify successful best practices and lessons learned

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
